I first met Paul Palango outside a Judge's Chamber's in a New York court five years ago. I remember it well because it was close to the Christmas season and I was wondering if I would be home in Toronto on time to get my Christmas shopping done. At the time Paul was working as a PI for an investigation agency in Toronto.

Paul's firm and The Corpa Group worked on a very large fraud/asset investigation that ultimately led to a Judgment being filed against five Defendants to the tune of 14 million dollars. It was truly the biggest U.S. Judgment I ever saw endorsed in my career.

It was no surprise that the Defendants never appeared in court on the day in question. The New York judge insisted that the losses be proven by the Plaintiff even though the Defendants never showed.

As a result, it took over two full days for all of the witnesses to be called before we could get the endorsement. Needless to say, Paul and myself spent a great deal of time waiting outside of the Judge's Chamber's for our names to be called in order that we could give evidence.

In two days we had an opportunity to talk extensively about our careers. At the time Paul had just finished a previous book, "Above The Law" which was about the RCMP Commercial Crime Unit and its creator, Rod Stamler. When we finally flew home I had an opportunity to read the book, which I found to be excellent.

Over the years, Paul and I have become good friends. Our agency has assisted him with many of his investigative tasks.

I have no hesitations recommending Paul Palango as a credible person, author, and investigator. His latest book, "The Last Guardians" is an excellent read but very controversial.

I have mentioned Paul on our site because we respect his work. He has done well to educate the public (through his books and articles) about fraud and investigation in the private sector. This latest book should be read by any individual actively involved in hiring Private Investigators or Forensic Accountants on a regular basis.
